Awfullychocolate
@ Vivo City

Awfully Chocolate's own dark chocolate premium ice cream. The chocolate ice cream is literally named "Black" in Mandarin, yet it's not as dark as it claims.

Like their cakes, the ice cream is very rich and the chocolate taste is very intense. It's not particularly creamy or sweet, in fact the ice cream is quite thick and stiff.

黑 Ice-cream $3.80 Single scoop

I think that their ice-cream tastes like ordinary chocolate ice-cream. At $3.80 , the price is pretty resonable. While the ice-cream tastes ordinary , the cakes are definitely still the best around. The premium dark chocolate cakes are simple but exceptionally tasty.

Wow Wow West

Located at Bukit Merah View Maket and Food Centre hidden away from the major roads .

They were quite generous with the chicken chop portion .With the portion they gave I thought it would be expensive but it's only 5 dollars. It's one of the biggest portion of chicken chop I've eaten so far. The chicken was nicely grilled and was very tender. Its was easy for my teeth.
They were quite generous for the fish & chips too. Its was quite big for only $5. The fish was fresh with a touch of lemon taste. The bread crumb crust was also executed well so it was crisp and not oily. Both the fish & chips and the chicken chop were served with big crispy potato fries, coleslaw and baked beans. I think the fries and the baked beans were the only part which is usually normally served in other western hawker stalls. The only difference was the home-made coleslaw which is cold and crisp. It's definately better than KFC's.

I heard that the pork chop is also quite good and only priced at 5 dollars. Overall, I think it's value for money. The food is pretty decent and well executed. It's one of the fewer western hawker stalls that you can recieve a generous portion at a resonable price.

WAFFLETOWN ~ A place for waffles !

Located at Balmoral Plaza . At the far end of bukit timah road which is 10 minutes bus ride to town. The place is quite accessible as it is very near to Newton mrt and many buses from town stop right outside Balmoral plaza.
The place reminds me of A&W restaurant. Offering "American" style of fast-food, even those seats remind me of A&W. Its seems that the place is very old and not well decorated. The drink dispenser looks like those in the 80's.

The 2 piece fried chicken set at $6.70. Prices are comparable to KFC's . Overall, the standard is definitely better than KFC's . The chicken is succulent and much juicier and the chicken isn't that oily. The coleslaw here which is not well sliced – ensuring that every bite comes with a crunch of the cabbage. Its definitely one of the best coleslaw around. The mash potato is only average here.

2 Pc Fried Chicken set ($6.70)

Since the place is called waffletown, it's really a no brainer that waffles are their specialty. The waffles here are freshly made and it's hot and crispy. Served with opted ice cream and whip cream. The raspberry ice-cream brings back great childhood memories. The ice-cream are those which we buy from the motorcycle uncle on the streets.Single scoop raspberry waffle ($3.70)

The blue berry waffle ala mode . It's actually ice-cream waffle with blue berry puree with opted whip cream. The puree is intense in flavour and not too sweet. Personally, i like it very much.

Blue Berry Waffle Ala Mode

It's not expensive at all to have a 2 pc chicken set and a single scoop waffle there. It only costs slightly above $10. I won't say the waffles are fantastic, but at $3.70 , the waffles are really worth the price. I had a good experience there.

Xing Wang Hong Kong Cafe @ Anchorpoint
Went to Xing Wang Hong Kong Cafe to have dessert and to study there. We ordered muah chee but at Xing Wang is called "mochi". I was quite shocked to see that there were only 6 marble-liked balls of mochi. The portion is too small but fortunately its not bad. Its very chewy and sweet coated with crushed peanuts and white sesame. She said "its like pearls in bubble tea". At $3.90 its quite expensive for only 6 small "balls"compare you can get something similar for only $1 .
Japanese Rice Mochi with crushed peanuts and white sesame.

Gummies from Uncle Tibits . Nice and cute.
